Is It Safe To Take Chondroitin And Glucosamine Along With Levothyroxine?

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 8 years ago and am now taking 175 mcg of levothyroxine every day. I recently bought some joint care tablets - chondroitin and glucosamine - and some multi vitamins. I was reading an article about thyroxine which said that decongestants, like Lemsip, and multi vitamins were not safe to take ith thyroxine. Is this true.

Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

The drug will have interaction only if it is taken within 3 hours of thyroxine. So you can take it safely after 3 hours.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
