is it safe to take claritin non-drowsy 24 hour twice a day as my dermatologist prescribed? i have read on web md that it may cause other health issues. I was told to take it for ongoing hives which I have had for six years. I break out in hives when I am too hot or too cold. thank you

I appreciate your concern, Claritin is safe medicine and if this is being prescribed for some very important pathology that need to be cured then it becomes necessary to have this tab, again every chemical molecules used as medicine then having more or less some side effects that does not means that such medicine should not be taken for cure the disease, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
