Is It Safe To Take Glycomet Gp1 To Control Sugar Levels?

my sugar level is 118before food and after food it is 179, recently my doctor has prescribed me with glycomet gp1 both in the morning and night. This tablet should be taken before or after food? Is this a safe medication? Moreover I am 41 years old lady following a strict diet, and do regular walking for atleast 40 min daily. kindly reply.

Thanks for the query to HCM Forum.
Glycomet gp 1 i.e.glimipide+metformine is a most suitable drug for diabetes ( NIDDM or type 2).
This drug should be taken in between food or after food so that hypoglycemia don't causes any untoward effect.
This is a safe drug , you can use it.
Still you feel any dizziness or nausea , vomiting , excessive sweating consult your doctor and get his opinion.
