Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It can be dangerous to take Indomethacin along with Plavix, as spontaneous bleeding may occur, particularly in the stomach. So, take it with great care, stopping it as soon as you get relief from pain.
Further, Gout occurs due to high uric acid in the blood. It is therefore preferable to take regular preventive treatment (uric acid lowering drug, such as allopurinol or Febuxostat) to keep uric acid levels under constant control in the blood. Unlike Indomethacin, these drugs do not interact with Plavix.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
