Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Isoace is an oral retinoid, Isotretinoin. It is a derivative of Vit A and a very effective antiacne medicines. Oral Retinoids are commonly prescribed by dermatologist for moderately severe and severe acne OR acne resistant OR not responding adequately to traditional antiacne medication.

The side effects of isotretinoin are mostly mucocutaneous i.e dry lips, dry eyes commonly. Hair shedding may be increased similar to high dose Vit A administration. However these side effects are reversible. Rarely, it may cause serious side effects related to Liver, Pancreas and Increased Serum Lipids etc. However, they can be monitored with blood tests and are reversible on discontinuation of the drug.
