Some studies suggest an increased chance of oral clefts (the roof of the mouths does not fully close during developement),if the prednisone is used in the first trimester of pregnancy. But dont worry ,the risc is very small, less than 1%.Anyway My advice is to talk with your obstetrician to evaluate the riscs and the benefits Of taking prednison in pregnancy.
