Is It Safe To Take Regestrone 2 Tablets For Missed Periods?

I had a abortion in the month of may, and then after had regular periods till aug, but later after that, haven't got the periods till date, hence I consulted the doc and she asked to take regestrone 2 tablets for 10 days with a multi vitamin full 365 for a month and told me that after 5days I will get my periods. but, can you please advise is this safe and does not have any side effects.
