Is It Safe To Take Saw Palmetto With Sintrom?

Can I take Saw Palmetto with Sintrom? I am a male, 73 yrs. of age, 5 ft. 11, 180 lbs. I´ve had a mild stroke and was put on 2 miligrams of Sintrom, blood was checked out 6 wks. ago at 2.5 but after the 6 wks. it was 1.5 and today, 2 wks. later it was 1.4. I don´t eat broccoli, spinace or chard. Only iceberg lettuce in salads and limit other vegs. to things like corn, grn. beans, beets, tomatoes. Why is my blood getting thicker? It´s got to be a vitamin or mineral. I take the Saw Palmetto for my prostate.
