Is It Safe To Travel During Pregnancy With History Of Having Seizures?

My girlfriend is wanting to go out of the state over 5 hours away. She is pregnant with my child. She has had seizures and I m trying to tell her it s not a good idea. Is there any law or anything that I can stop her from traveling out of state with her pregnant and having seizures?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

She can safely travel while suffering from a seizure disorder. The only thing you should make sure that the anti-seizure drugs have to be taken. Do not skip a medicine as it will provoke a seizure.

Try to avoid high-risk activities like driving or handling heavy objects. There is no low to prevent one from traveling with seizure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
