Is It Safe To Use Fusidic Cream On Dry Lips?

hi, a doctor prescribed me a medicine which, he said, would make my skin very dry. So, to counter that effect on my lips, he prescribed me fusidic cream which he said to be applied on the lips after mixing with moisturiser every morning. I have read that fusidic cream should be used on infections, but my lips are not infected. Is it safe to use it on lips??

Hi...
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain you are advised to apply Fuscidic acid containing cream on your lips as it is antibacterial in action and dry lips may tend to get irritated, inflamed and infected..
So it is advised to you to apply it on your lips by mixing it with moisturiser to maintain lubrication of lips as well as prevent infections..

You can also apply Petroleum jelly over lips and drink plenty of water to try and maintain hydration and reduce the drying of lips and skin..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
