Is It Safe To Use Prednisone For Itchiness All Over Body?
Yes. I have an itch that is severe all over my body, arms esp. and back. I just can't stop the itching which then causes more itching and sores that pop up due to the scratching. I am a diabetic taking several pills s snd insulin. I've had this itch for a year at least and the only cure my Primary and allergy specialist can find i.is prednesone which is not good for long term use. Can you help???
Thanks for your query .I have gone through your query .I agree with you that prednisolone has some serious side effects when use for long time ,but its being a year since your are taking this drug so there is nothing for immediate panic.
You should also start using some home remedies along with these drugs to make there dose less like apple cider vinegar and aloe vera gel. Best is to avoid allergen to which you are allergic.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
