Is It Safe To Use Painkillers Long-term For Aching Legs And Back?

Hi, I have aches in my arms, shoulders, legs and back, i have also experienced feeling thirsty this past week. I have had swollen ankles, have been to the doctors and been on Paracetamol and Ibuprofen for 5-6 weeks, when i ease off the dosage I feel terrible as if I am coming down with a virus, my legs are stiff and I feel like I have aged from a healthy 45 year old to a 75 year old. i feel down because I don t have the energy to all the household jobs that need doing and this is so frustrating. The doctor did the first round of blood tests and I had an x-ray on my hips to test for Osteoperosis but all clear. Is it safe to continue with the pain killers, doc said I could be suffering from a virus that leaves calcium deposits in the joints, therefore they ache.
