I was prescribed Erythromycin ointment for my pinkeye, and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help the redness. Warm compresses don t work, and while cold ones feel good they don t really help either. Is it safe to use saline drops in my eyes also to quell the irritation?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having pink eye and on treatment with erythromycin eye ointment. Saline can be used for irrigation of the eyes. Along with antibiotics you need to use antiinflammatory drugs. At the same time need to look whether the infection is responding to antibiotic if it is not need to change the antibiotic. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
