Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Severe hair loss over few months is called
telogen effluvium.
It is a hair loss pattern usually triggered by a physical illness (like
viral fever,
typhoid fever, hepatitis, etc), anaemia,
hypothyroidism, crash dieting, surgery,
weight loss and childbirth which you would have about 3 - 6 months prior to onset of hair fall.
You have mentioned that you have hypothyroidism. Please make sure that TSH levels are in the normal range.
You could check your hemoglobin and serum ferritin levels to rule out anaemia. If found anaemic, please address the issue.
You could continue the tablets that you have mentioned.
However, in my opinion, you could substitute Folifast hair tincture with a lotion containing 2 % minoxidil.
The hair cycle will take 4- 6 months to revert back to normal.
Please have a good diet including green leafy vegetables, eggs, dates.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
