Is It Safe To Work Full Time With Pleurisy?

Hi, I had a bad cold about 4-5 weeks ago. It left me with a bad cough which turned into a chest infection with really bad chest pain. I took a course of antiobiotics but didn't feel any better so went back to doctor. Got diagnosed with pleurisy and given more antiobiotics and some painkillers. I am still working full time but am pretty exhausted. Should I take some time off to allow my body to recover?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist for this. Pleurisy is information of the pleura and this can be seen in many condition s like pneumonia, TB, pleural effusion etc. So the cause is important. And follow up investigation to see weathet its improving or not is also important. So consult pulmonologist and get done chest x ray and if possible CT THORAX WITH CONTRAST. CT thorax gives you in depth idea about pleural pathology.
