Hi
Your baby is in danger if you have not suffered from chicken pox before or not had chickenpox vaccine. If you develop chicken pox there is a small possibility (1%) that the baby may develop serious birth defects.

If I were your doctor I would first advise you to stop working in that nursery and check your blood to know if you are immune for chicken pox infection.
(Chicken pox is a common childhood infection which causes mild infection which your mother may not be remembering. The infection provides lifelong immunity) If the test says you are immune you can work in the nursery.

If you are not immune and you are working in that nursery for less than 10days then I would give you varicella Zoster immunoglobulin.

I would keep watch for three weeks to find out at the earliest if you develop rashes and treat it.
I will give you varicella zoster vaccination after delivery.
I hope I have answered to your satisfaction.
