Is It To Be Concern About Epiglottis In Tongue?

hi,im 20 yrs old female,i just wanna know why my epiglottis shown when i extend my tongue its bother me a lot,,before im not experiencing this when i look in the mirror and look my tongue i didnt see my epiglottis,,but now i already saw my epiglottis,,why it is happen?and what is the reason why it can see..is it dangerous?
