Is It Too Late To Use Ice On The Scalp If Hurt It Over A Month Ago?

I hit scalp hard on cabinet door edge over a month ago and still have lump that is painful. Did not apply ice at time. How can I reduce the swelling? When should I worry? And as if that wasn't enough, began PT 10 days ago for post-melanoma surgery (6 years ago) neck adhesions and too vigorous treatment first week has left me with torn upper trap and neck hematoma which I am treating with ice. Is it too late to use ice on my scalp? Should I have gotten my head x-rayed or scanned at the time? .

Thank you for asking!
Ice basically works as a vasoconstrictor to relieve and prevent inflammation and swelling but as it has been almost a month now, it would benefit little . Apply topical NSAIDs and use some pain killers. If it has been innocuous for a month it would sure be innocuous and nothing to worry about.Just the routine care and symptomatic treatment would do.
take care
