Hi,
No it is not true.Smoking causes atherosclerosis and vascular endothelial damage there by increases the risk for stroke .Reccurence stroke in turn causes vascular dementia and mixed dementia.Hence smoking cessation is specific lifestyle modification which we counsel the patients.Thus reducing incidence of Alzheimer and vascular dementia

i dont think so..BUT WHATEVER U DO. DONT SMOKE!! IT IS ADDICTING AND WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE.
