Is It Unusual For Someone Diagnosed With Congestive Heart Failure And Emphysema To Experience Significant Improvement?

I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure about 10 years ago (2014), I arrived at the ER at the time with a less than 10% injection fraction, X-ray showed an enlarged heart and a pulmonary lung test indicated emphysema COPD. My arterial scan indicated 100% clear. I was prescribed Coreg, Enalapril, an inhaler, currently trelegy, and asked I lose weight...to date, 120 pounds. I stopped smoking in 2000. Last week I got an Xray and the test results state No acute cardiopulmonary process Heart revealed to be normal size, the lungs are clear, no skeletal lesion is seen. My injection fraction is now 50% +/- I still take Coreg 6.5mg daily, Enalapril 20mg daily and am now on an Advair inhaler 2x day and atorvastatin 20mg at night. I guess my question is, My understanding was there was no cure for my condition. I am not complaining mind you but is this an unlikely thing? I had so many tests and the doctors were certain my life expectancy was short. I am curious what to expect going forward. I would appreciate any insight you could shed on this. Thank you, Cliff Hill
