Is Itchy Stomach Post Having An Abdominal Suture During Pregnancy Normal?

I am currently 19 weeks preg with fraternal twins. I have an abdominal suture (placed at 14/5). My tummy has been very itchy not sure if its just due to stretching and scar healing. Today my tummy is gurgling alot also. Is this normal? I am not feeling any obvious movements yet just the odd flutter. But, when i wake in the morning my tummy is very hard is this normal?

Hi.

The itchiness is both due to scar healing and because of your tummy stretching. Apply a good moisturising cream generously over your abdomen.

As for the gurgling, this is because of the changes your body is going through and the gastric symptoms that are common during pregnancy, drink plenty of water and eat small.sized meals more regularly.
