Is Itchy Vulva With A White Strip Around It Suggestive Of Vulvodynia?
At my recent gyn exam the PA asked if I had itching along with my white outer (upper) vulva. At that time, I did not recall itching but, since then, realize that I do have increased itching in that area and, for the first time, I looked in a mirror and see that I have about a 3/4 inch x 4 inch strip of white. She mentioned a name of the condition (that I don t remember) and mentioned that 1. she has seen it spread to labia and all vulva, and 2. it can be treated. Evidently she made no notes about this as I called to ask for medication. Do you think this is vulvadenia? How should I treat it?

Hi, this is not vulvodynia. Aith is known as leukoplakia. It needs to be evaluated by a biopsy to rule out malignancy. It can be treated. Hope I have answered your question.
