Is Knee Replacement Surgery The Best Alternative To Regain Walking?

Hi, my father is 58 yrs; 92 kgs & 6'. He is not able to walk due to problem with both the knees (Bone marrow is completely worn out I guess). Please suggest if we can go for knee replacement surgery. And also kindly suggest us a good ortho surgeon & hospital in Bangalore.

Hostory: He had a problem of excessive release of pitutory gland harmone at the age of around 17 yrs (during a complete bed rest period followed by an back bone injury in an accident). Due to that harmone his bones grown abnormally. He is 92 kgs but not fatl, its all his bone weight itself.
