Is LEEP Procedure Recommended When Pap Smear Result Was Abnormal?
My question is, do i really need a leep procedure? sep09 my pap smear came back abnormal so automatically she scheduled me for a biopsy procedure for Oct 09, 2 weeks later my biospsy came back with the lowest grade for cervical dysplasia now netxt week i am schedule for a leep and i just watched a video on the procedure (the actual procedure being done) i'm so scared and i don't even want to do it anymore w do i do please help!!! HELLO DEAR I UNDERSTAND YOUR PROBLEM.Since your diagnosis of low grade cervical dysplasia is being confirmed on biopsy i.e. CIN 1..cervical intraepithelial neoplasia..its a premalginant procedure and though chances of progression to carcinoma is less than 1%,to avoid this in future its mandatory that you undergo LEEP procedure and it will be done under local anaesthesia Thanking you
