Is Laminectomy Effective In The Treatment Of A Synovial Cyst?
I am scheduled for laminectomy for excision of intraspinal lesion (sinovial cyst) of the foramin L5/S1. How does this differ from lumbar laminectomy? Also all of my lumbar vert. are bulging. Will this surgery help? Email: YYYY@YYYY My name is Ellen

If medications fail to treat your symptoms,then surgery is the definitive treatment.It is same as lumbar laminectomy as it's being done on the lumbar vertebrae hence that name. If it's done on sacral vertebrae then it's sacral laminectomy.
