Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .

Your mother has 5 mm sized stone impacted in her ureter and her microscopic examination of urine has revealed plenty of puss cells which suggest infection in urine due to obstruction to flow of urine from kidney in to bladder .

The primary aim in management of such case is to save kidney from getting damaged due to back pressure changes and restore flow of urine from kidney in to bladder the infection being automatically controlled .

Your Urologist has rightly advised you to put the stent which will help to eradicate infection .The stone will pass out itself spontaneously .
