Is Late Conception A Cause Of Concern?

Hi, the first date of my last menstrual cycle is 1Sep16; I missed my period in first week of october and thus did urine preg test on 4th oct and it was negative, i did it again on 8thoct and it showed negative; i planned a goa trip from 8 to 11 oct in which i boozed some 6 beers in 3 days, had chicken heartily and walked a lot, had hot water baths and steam in couple spa. I travelled for 13 hrs in a bus on 11th from goa to bangalore and i tested on 13 oct again, and my UPT showed positive. I met the gynaec immediately and got a date for my first scan that was today. Doctor could only see gestational sac and yolk sav, no foetal pole. Doctor also mentioned it is late conception. Now I will be taking a pregcert and got my blood and urine tests, reports are due tomorrow. Reports will determine if the pregnancy is progressing. Could you please let me know what are the chances? Is late conception a cause of concern or it s normal? Will my activities in goa trip hamper the baby in anyway?

Hello,

Given that today's date is March 4, 2019, I am confused about the dates that you list as that is from several months ago. You stated that you "had an ultrasound today". Could you please clarify the dates?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
