Is Leg Swelling With Scarring Caused By Vasculitis?
I m 23 and I was diagnosed with vasculitis... I m still waiting blood results for Hepatitis C and Lupus. I quit smoking immediately after finding out I have this disease. The only affected area is the legs. A few days ago my left ankle got swollen and since then it s been getting worst. The red scars are growing, mostly because the blood veins and/or arteries getting clogged or something... My immune system is probably overreacting, but I m pretty scared, it looks very ugly, even though it doesn t hurt. Is this reaction normal for vasculitis?
You must be very careful because there is a very risk of thrombosis of the deep vascular system. You must go to the hopital for a EchoDoppler to confirm that and a blood test to check the coagulation and the plattelets. In fact your condition is at risk for vascular complications. After the medical exams you should probably take the antiagregants like Aspirin.
