Is Level 4.1 For Diabetes Normal ?

Hello, last week i had a blood test for diabetes and it came back that i was 4.1 i was told this was in the range, i have since spoken 2 a few people who have diabetes and the said the rang was 5 - 7. can u please tell me what is the correct range.

Dear Mohan,
I can see that you have posted this long time ago, and you may have found your answers by now.
Let me explain it to you, if you are still doubtful.
There are 2 forms of blood test, one that looks at blood sugars and other is the glycosylated hemoglobin referred to as Hba1c.
Normal range for blood sugar is between 3.5 to 5.5 mmol/lt or 90 -140mg/dl. The range is dependent on fasting state of blood.
Normal range for Hba1c for normal non diabetic individual are between 4 -6.5

Hi.. Your blood sugars are in normal limits.. As earlier suggested the normal range of blood sugars are between 4.5mmol/lt to 7 mmol/lt. The sugar levels varies depending of the fasting state. Your symptoms are similar to the ones of diabetic symptoms. You can get both fasting and postprandial blood sugars done. And if those are too in the normal limits then the diabetes can be ruled out.
