Is Levolin And Budecort Safe To Give For Cold And Cough?
Hi - for our 10 year old son is suffering from cold and cough for a few days. He had asthma before but doctor asked to stop the medication a year ago. Today, his doctor asked to use levolin and budecort in combination. Couple of questions. Is it safe to do so? If so, what should be the gap of usage between the two?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have cold and cough which is due to upper respiratory tract infection. Levolin and budecort as given to child is a safe combination except it will make child drowsy. You should start with antibiotic such as augmentin along with decongestants and anti inflammatory such as Levocetrizine . I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination as infection has already spread. You should get throat swab test , viral culture test , complete blood profile to find out extent of infection. For now do warm saline gargles. Take steam inhalation. Take proper rest , keep yourself hydrate. Maintain hygiene. Take diet rich in multivitamins.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
