Is Light Bleeding For 3-4 Days Normal During Periods After Taking Ipill?

I had sex on 19th april 2011.I took ipill within 24hrs..bleeding started on 27th of april..and it lasted for almost 3-4days..it was similar to periods..but the amount was low..and i m 21years old...i had sex for the very first time.we took protection also but it was misplaced...so i m confused was that periods?it was kind of thick also...please help ..please..
