Is Light Spotting And Weight Gain Natural During Menopause?

I am going for a pelvic ultra. There is something in my cervix that bled a little during a pap. My pap came back fine. Still, during this menopause cycle of 8yrs., I slightly spotted off and on after no period for 2-3yrs. Nothing heavy, just a watery blood that needed no pad/tampon etc. I have gained 15lbs in the last couple yrs. Is this normal?

Hi, thanks for writing..
Weight gain following menopause is quite common due to lack of exercise and hormonal variations. But spotting after menopause is not normal. Pap has been done and we have to get the results to decide on furthur treatment. May be the lesion in the cervix need to be cauterised. Also a scan has to be done to see for endometrial thickness. ET<5 mm is normal. hope i have answered your query. good day.
