Is Lightheadedness A Cause For Concern?

I have been experiencing lightheadedness several times in the past week when this happens I feel faint, weak and as though I may fall. Sitting down helps as does drinking water. One time I was unable to accurately sign my own name on a check I had just written. I have been under some stress as my husband has Multiple System Atrophy and I need to care for him although he is still able to do many things without help. s Is this something I should worry about or just be cautious?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic
Concerning your experience with lightheadness fainting sensation weakness following a previous stress and apparent memory loss I will suggest a possible hypertensive disease

Lightheadness is definitely a cause for concern since it is invariably one of clinical features of neurological disorder

In view of this please check your blood pressure if is above normal please see a cardiologist specialist as well as a neurologist for expert clinical evaluation as well as adequate drug treatment

Moreover you need to adequate bed rest to avoid possible developing a cerebrovascular accident (stroke)

I hope this helps
