Is Lightheadedness With Immobility For Short Period Serious?

I stood up then felt light headed but it wasn't a big deal because it has happened before and it would always go away but this time it wouldn't so i just kept standing there. I couldn't see or think straight. I then fell to the floor and couldn't move for a couple seconds then got up and was fine.
