Is Low Body Temperature Related To Thyroid Or Adrenal Gland Issue?
my basil body temp is very low, ive had my thyroid checked and everything seems to be in the normal range, low normal. it ranges 96.4 to 97.1. that is orally, I took it this morning under my arm and it was 93.6. Nobody seems to be concerned. I have put on 40 lbs. in 2 yrs and am exhausted always. Could it be an adrenal gland issue or maybe thyroid and it just doesn t show up in the tests??? what should be my next step?
Hi,Thanks for consulting at HCM. The comination of weight gain of 20kg over 2 years with low temperature may be due to eating disorders called bulimia, depression, hypothyroidism or it may be normal in some persons.Adrenal diseases causing decreased body temperature are associated with weight loss. You should consult your doctor to rule other hormone deficiencies on clinical grounds and blood glucose level before embarking on other tests. Hope it satisfies you.Get well soon. Never forget to rate the answer please. Looking forward to see you again at HCM.
