Is Low Bp Related With Dizziness, Blackout And Fading Of Vision?

Hello, I don t know if this is the cause of low blood pressure or not, but still curious to know. Whenever I stand up I feel fine until 5 seconds later. I get a bit dizzy and see my vision fade out like a blackout, however, it lasts for 3 seconds then back to normal. I don t always go through this but lately I have. Is this the cause of low blood pressure or not? Please and thank you. Also, how can I avoid this in the near future?

hi welcome to HCM.
You seem to have orthostatic hypotension. This is quite prevalent in the community. It could be due to coexistent autonomic dysfunction.Tilt table testing with a screening 2 dimensional echocardiography can help to diagnose this condition with near accuracy..Treatment includes intake of 6 gm of salt/day with adequate hydration of 3-4 liters of water.Drugs like Midodrine and Fludrocortisone will help to elevate blood pressure.Elevate foot end of bed at night.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you
