Is Low Dosage Of Levothyroxine The Cause For Extreme Fatigue And Weight Gain?

Hello, I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My TSH was 6.6 at the beginning of February, and my T4 was low. In December my TSH had been 2.7, though I don t know what my T4 had been. I have been suffering greatly for the last two years from extreme fatigue, and I have gained 60 lbs in that time as well. I ve been on 75 mg on levothyroxine for 2 weeks now but I don t feel any better at all. I m wondering if the dose could be too low, since from what I understand I should be feeling at least a bit better by now. I m also wondering if maybe the problem is in my pituitary, since my weight is largely in my abdomen and I am now thinking perhaps I have Cushings too. Is that even possible? I m a 49 year old female. I had a hysterectomy at 40, but they left an ovary. I had been thinking I was in menopause until the hypothyroid diagnosis came along. I should mention that I was 120 lbs or less most of my adult life and my eating habits did not change. I have very little appetite, and I get full very easily. Thanks for your time.
