Hi, good day. Am mrs Shalom. I had a baby (preterm-24 weeks) last year. It was a baby girl. My olacenta was anterioly placed in the lower segment. Now am pregnant again with posterioly placed placenta in the upper segment. Plese I want to know if there is any association of baby sex with the placement of the placenta and again if there is any health risk involved with placenta placement. Thamk you

Hi, I understand your concern. - low lying placenta is not related to sex of baby. - Yes low lying placenta can prove to be harmful to baby as well as mothers health- when it causes bleeding. - This time you have a posterior placental placement in upper segment of uterus. So don't worry. your pregnancy is normal. Thanks.
