Is Lower Abdominal Cramp A Symptom Of Sexually Transmitted Infection?
Hi. I had oral sex with a male masseur yesterday, he say that he’s clean from HIV but I noticed that he has bumps like pimples around his chest. He said that it was due to some gym supplements that he took. Other than that, his genital area are smooth, no bumps or lesions. So I thought it would be okay. Well, today I had several cramps come and go on my lower left abdomen but for now there’s no pain nor burn during urination. I’m worried that I might get any STIs. Is it normal to have symptoms one day after receiving oral sex?
That is a good question. The chance of contracting HIV from someone who is not from a high risk group of either multiple sexual partners or IV drug user is usually low. The chance is lower when one is from a developed country.
Along with this, the chance of HIV transmission from Oral sex is very low.
The symptoms of HIV/AIDS can take years to show up and usually only present after there is a lot of loss of immunity. However, it would be a good idea to avoid unprotected sexual intercourse and get an STD panel test.
I hope this helps. All the best.
