General & Family Physician 's  Response
nuvaring is estrogen and progesterone containing device. when you stop using it ,your bodys natural hormones take their effect and produce the natural response to menstrual cycle that is beginning of periods.if the the period lasts for more than a week or if the bleeding is excessive than normal, then i advice you to consult your obgyn, otherwise you will be fine.
hope that answers the question
