Is Meprate Causing Light And Delay Periods?

i took meprate for midcycle bleeding for about 10 days and it worked. my period came 5 days late, the bleeding is lighter than usual and i have no pain where usually i am in agony. i had unprotected sex with my husband a few times after i finished meprate and before my period came. my question is: is my period late and lighter because of meprate? or could it be something else?
