Is Methyl Progesterone Acetate 10 Mg Advisable For Irregular Menstrual Cycle?

Hello,, i didnt get my period.. it is 5 days late,... i am not pregnant... it is sure.. i have taken papaya and sesame seeds but still no period... can i take methyl progesterone acetate 10 mg for 5 days for getting periods??? is it contraceptive??? because i will be on ttc from this month so i want my period to come fast,..... will that tablets effect be on fetus and upcomong pregnancy????

Hello,
Induction of a period may be done only after excluding pregnancy through urine tests, blood test or a sonogram. Progestogens taken early in pregnancy during the phase of sexual differentiation when hormones have an effect, can cause virilization of a female fetus. Please do not self-medicate, see a specialist and after a proper evaluation, go for further management. Please use prenatal vitamins and take a healthy diet. Hope you find this information useful.
