Is Miscarriage Possible While On Sudafed?

Hi I have been taken sudafed for congestion for about 5days in the meantime I ovulated and we are trying to conceive so there is a chance I could be pregnant (very very early) I m now concerned if it can cause a miscarriage, I had a miscarriage a few months ago and remember taking it then aswell but hoping that the two aren t connected

It is understandable to be concerned with a previous history of miscarriage but it is possible that there is no relation.

Sudafed contains the medication pseudoephedrine which has not be assigned a category of risk by the FDA but it is not thought to cause birth defects and/or miscarriage.

It is one of the medications that is most commonly used.
