Is Missed Period After Intercourse Sign Of Pregnancy?
my girlfriend got her last period on august 29,2010 and before that on july 28,2010..we reccently had sexual intercourse on september 27,2010..though we did not use any preventive measures, i am sure i removed my penis before ejaculation. but then she did not gt her period still..she may be pregnant ?? whrn checked online calculators, sep 27th is a day of menstrual period but not fertile period...
The intercourse on 27 September was very near to the expected menstruation; hence far away from the fertile window which is a week around the day of ovulation. Day of ovulation is 14 days prior to next expected period, which in her case would have been around middle of September. Therefore, the chances of pregnancy from this intercourse would be almost nil.
However, if her menses get delayed by a week or so, please get her overnight first morning urine sample tested for pregnancy; earlier these tests may report false negative results. This will confirm her pregnancy status.
If non-pregnant state is confirmed, she may take some Progestational pill like Deviry for 5 days with the advice of a Gynaecologist. Then within 4-7 days she should get withdrawal bleeding.
I hope this helps you today.
