Is Monocef O 200,cetrazine And Ascoril Syrup Harmful During Pregnancy?

Hi, Good Morning , I am in 7th month of pregnancy, when I was in 5th month of pregnancy I have got cold and cough. My doctor suggested to take piriton CS syrup. But it was not getting cured. Again I visited physician and he asked me to take monocef o 200, cetrazine and Ascoril syrup. Please let me know, is it causes any harm to the baby?

Hi,

I hope you are all right now.
Regarding your query. All these drugs are pregnancy category B meaning that effects on humans are either not done or any available information does not indicate that they cause harm to the baby. Also you have taken them fairly late when all the organs are already developed so the chances of harm are negligible.
I commonly have patients coming to my clinic with similar complaints are these drugs are used routinely without any harm. So do not worry. You and the baby will be fine.
