Is My HR A Cause For Concern?

I m a 47 yo male very fit (150lbs, 14% body fat), I regularly do boxing and run too. My heart rate is very slow 48-50 at rest and remains around 120-125 even when exercising. It is a week that, while in motion, it has increased a lot, going above 150 when exercising and staying there until I stop. Should I worry?

Hello,

I think you should keep monitoring your HR without running any physical activity especially when it comes to stressful activities.

If it will remain higher than 150 although no physical activity, then, should consult further with a cardiologist and run a series of diagnostic tests to determine the right cause.

The thing is that sport people do have high HR while doing sport while their HR is low at rest. The problem is that persisting high HR at rest should get further investigated.
