Is My Negative HIV Test At 60 Days After Receiving Oral Sex Conclusive?
Hi I had a exposure with stranger. I don t know whether that person having hiv or not. I didn t do sex but only got blow job from that person. After 60 days of that I went to lab and gave samples for idv test. The result was negative. So is it conclusive or not. I m very doubtful on this.
Window testing time for HIV will depend on the type of test you have undertaken. NAT can detect it in10-35 days. 4th generation antibody / antigen test can detect in 20-45 days, where as 3rd generation antibody test can detect it in 20-90 days. Hence, if you have undergone for NAT or 4th generation antibody / antigen test, then it is conclusive.
However, if you have taken 3rd generation antibody test then you may wait 30 days more to be more precise.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
