Hi,

An empty sac pregnancy may also be referred to as an anembryonic pregnancy or a blighted ovum.An empty sac pregnancy is a type of miscarriage, even though the products of conception are still contained in the uterus.

No yolk sac at six weeks of gestation may mean either the pregnancy is less than six weeks or there is a miscarriage. A repeat ultrasound in two weeks can determine which is the case.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
