Pediatric Ophthalmology:5 Years 6 months old boy, His eye sight for R:-13.0 and L: -12.5.retina is also weakSome doctors has suggested "SYNOPTOPHORE EXERCISE" and some doctors says not required only suggested " NEXCARE PATCHES" for 4 monthsPlease suggest me what to do?

it is congenital defect. we can cal lit as pathological myopia. exercise or patch not going to help. it is visuadisability. corrected vision can be given but main problem is retinal detach ment. rehabilitation training has to be given at the same time parents are Tobe educated and prepared for helping child accept it it as God given and prepared your child for facinlife. there are many devices available for low visual aid. it can be in the form of computer. so help the child to grow mentally.

it's a high myopia .synaptophore excersice may help to improve the condition.please consult an eye specialist who specialised in retina for detailed examination and further treatment
