Is Nonischemic Cardiomyopathy Due To Years Of Aerobic Exercise?

66y/o healthy cauc male. 6 4 . 220lb. Lifelong cyclist/competitive now for fitness. Recent treadmill test with contrast revealed nonischemic cardiomyopathy...no complaints/symptoms. Ascending aorta 4.1mm. Is it possible that I have this enlargement due to years of aerobic exercise? No other issues (plaque, etc.). Thank you.

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
No,there I'd no evidence that sport can cause any type of cardiomyopathy and this is in general caused by genetics or viral infection.
I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
